They ensure that deadlines and quality and quantity goals are met./ppPrimary Duties/Responsibilities:/pulliAdhere to policies, procedures, and practices./liliIdentify and report unsafe conditions including injuries and property damage./liliUse safe work techniques; including lifting and confined space entry; use proper PPE./liliConduct routine preventative maintenance and safety checks; troubleshoot basic mechanical breakdowns./liliUse hand tools effectively to maintain, set-up, and repair equipment; adjust mechanical parts using hand and machine tools./liliIdentify issues and perform repairs quickly; escalate as necessary./liliSet up, maintain, adjust, and troubleshoot all production equipment./liliPerform scheduled preventative maintenance./liliDocument all mechanical activities./liliAssist in training new mechanics when required on set-up and operation of equipment./liliObserve all company rules, regulations, safety procedures, and housekeeping standards./liliMaintain a safe and clean work area throughout the shift./liliPerform other (or other related) duties as applicable or assigned./li/ulpRequired Skills/Abilities/Competencies:/pulliAbility to read and write English and understand oral and written communications./liliMechanical aptitude./liliAbility to work as a team player; enthusiastic attitude./liliProblem-solving and troubleshooting skills./liliAbility to read, understand, and execute job set-up instructions./liliBasic computer proficiency preferred./li/ulpEducation and Experience:/pulliHigh School Diploma or GED required./lili1+ year of previous experience with mechanical troubleshooting experience on automated manufacturing equipment./liliPrevious experience in print or direct mail equipment preferred./liliLean manufacturing and/or quality control training preferred./liliPrevious participation on a safety team and/or other safety training a plus./li/ulpPhysical Requirements:/pulliAbility to work 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday; 3pm-11pm./liliAbility to work overtime when needed./liliStandard climate-controlled production environment; exposure to loud noise (PPE is provided)./liliAbility to lift, carry, and push/pull up to 50 pounds./liliAbility to stand, walk, bend, twist, pivot, crouch, squat, kneel, and stoop for up to 8 hours./liliUpper extremity motion requirements: fine motor movements, pushing/pulling with arms, grasping and pinching./liliLower extremity motion requirements: reaching./liliPre-employment post-offer comprehensive assessment required./li/ulpEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
