RN or Respiratory Therapist

Part-Time Registered Nurse or Respiratory Therapist (Cardiopulmonary Rehab) - 24 hrs/wk


We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with a BSN or a Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join our comprehensive cardiopulmonary rehabilitation team for a 24 hours per week position. The successful candidate will bring clinical expertise in cardiopulmonary disease management and secondary prevention strategies, and will be an enthusiastic advocate for healthy lifestyles. As a visible role model, you will encourage both participants and staff toward sustainable behavior change and improved cardiopulmonary outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct clinical care and education focused on secondary prevention of cardiopulmonary disease.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify patient risk factors, clinical status, and readiness for change.
• Design and implement individualized care plans that support therapeutic lifestyle changes and rehabilitation goals.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary rehab team members to ensure coordinated care and continuous program improvement.
• Monitor and document progress, identify psychosocial concerns, and report significant clinical changes to the supervising physician in a timely manner.
• Utilize behavior change theories and motivational strategies to guide patients in setting and achieving measurable health goals.

Qualifications: RN (BSN preferred) or RT with at least 2 years of experience in acute care settings such as ACU, ICU, or CCU, or prior experience in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation. Demonstrated proficiency in cardiopulmonary assessment, patient education, and interdisciplinary communication is required. A commitment to patient-centered care, health promotion, and ongoing professional development is essential.
