Senior Manager, Clinical Data Systems

AbbVie seeks a Senior Manager for Clinical Data Systems in Florham Park, NJ to oversee clinical database operations, manage therapeutic area teams, and ensure regulatory compliance. The role combines technical oversight with team leadership and strategic process improvement.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple therapeutic area portfolios and oversee clinical data system performance
- Evaluate and implement technologies for operational improvement and cost reduction
- Build and retain high-performing teams through recruitment, onboarding, and talent development
- Oversee vendor deliverables and ensure SDTM compliance with quality and regulatory standards
- Lead cross-functional initiatives and provide strategic guidance on operations and best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in MIS, computer science, life sciences, or equivalent; Master's preferred
- 8+ years clinical database design and data loading experience, or 9+ years similar technical/clinical role
- Intermediate SAS and/or SQL programming skills with expert database concept knowledge
- In-depth CDASH and SDTM standards knowledge and clinical trial process understanding
- Demonstrated ability to influence and mentor without direct authority in matrix environments
- Effective analytical and communication skills with cross-functional collaboration experience
