Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Document Screening in Indianapolis, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by monitoring access points, screening personnel and property, and reporting security-related concerns. You will remain visible to help deter incidents while delivering outstanding customer service and clear communication. Job Schedule:
DayTimeWed06:00 AM - 02:00 PMThur06:00 AM - 02:00 PMFri06:00 AM - 02:00 PMWhat You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and vehicles entering or exiting the logistics and distribution location in accordance with established procedures and applicable regulations.
- Verify identification, credentials, access authorization, and shipping documentation before permitting entry to controlled areas.
- Respond to incidents, prohibited-item alerts, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, access points, loading areas, and the business perimeter, reporting unusual activity or conditions to appropriate personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
