MIG Welder:

Location: Aurora, CO 80011
Schedule:  M-F, 7:00AM - 3:30PM
Pay: $28-32/hr., Depending on Experience
Job Type:  Temporary-to-Hire (Fast-Track to Permanent)
Experience:  Minimum 2 years’ experience in a metal fabrication environment or other equivalent experience

Our machine-manufacturing client is seeking a skilled MIG welder to support their custom fabrication of machine parts. This is an essential position, and the individual should be capable of performing a variety of welding functions, and capable of using MIG Welders, cutting torches, and reading technical drawings.
MIG Welder Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, general arrangement, and sub-component detail drawings.
• Maintain, repair, rebuild, and fabricate parts when required for all types of industrial equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections, diagnose equipment problems, perform necessary repairs, and report findings to supervision.
• Performs MIG welding, layout, and millwright functions.
• Full compliance with plant, state and federal safety regulations and general work rules. Use of proper lock-out procedure and personal protective equipment.
• Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead positions.
• Position and clamp workpieces together or assemble them in jig or fixtures.
• Select torch, torch tip, filler, and flux, according to welding chart specifications or type and thickness of material.
• Tack assemblies together.
• Chip off excess weld, slag and spatter.
• Cleans or de-greases parts.
• Other duties as assigned.

MIG Welder Requirements:

• A high school diploma or GED is required; military experience, trade or technical school preferred.
• Certified welder.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a metal fabrication environment or other equivalent experience.
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
• Possess a working knowledge of all applicable manufacturers and industry standards (CMAA, HMI, ANSI, and OSHA).
• Must be able to lift or pull a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Requires solid written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, conceptual and planning skills are required.
• Excellent math skills and overall PC literacy (Microsoft Office) are required.
