Patient Service Representative (PSR) - Antenatal Resource Center

Job Description Summary To provide efficient, effective, quality customer service and practice support through a variety of general office duties including scheduling, coding, registration and billing. Maximize revenues by collecting payment at time of service and entering accurate and up-to-date billing information (address, insurance coverage, etc.) into the patient accounting system. Assist clinical staff in maintaining accurate medical records. Shift Pick Up Hours and Schedule Shift pick up hours are 8 am‑4:30 pm Monday‑Friday. No weekend or holiday pick up. Minimum requirement is 4 shifts in a 6‑week period. Pay Range $19.80 – $29.70 per hour. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. One to two years of related customer service experience. Experience handling difficult callers, customers or patients. Outpatient OB and/or MFM clinic experience preferred. Responsibilities Schedule appointments and handle shift pick up as described. Provide efficient, high‑quality service to patients who arrive for appointments, call or visit in person for scheduling, billing, referrals, and other matters. Ensure accurate entry of billing information at time of service and follow up on missing data. Maintain accurate and timely medical records in accordance with practice and medical group standards. About This Location The Antenatal Resource Center (ARC) at Advocate Medical Group Maternal Fetal Medicine – Chicago provides specialized care for patients with high‑risk pregnancies and complex maternal or fetal conditions. It partners closely with OB‑GYN providers to deliver coordinated, comprehensive care throughout pregnancy. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Ability to function in a high volume, multiple‑task environment in a crowded or closely shared workspace. Exposure to ill patients. Ability to work under stressful conditions with demanding customers. Must lift up to 35 pounds without help. For patient lifts over 35 pounds, patient handling equipment and assistance from at least one other associate are required when available. Benefits Base compensation within the pay range is based on qualifications, skills, experience, and training.
