Registered Nurse PICU

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - PICU Shift: Nights / 7p-7a, 12x3, 36hrs per week,Holiday Coverage,every other weekend rotation Length: 17 weeks Requirements: WA License 2 Years Experience BLS PALS Skills required: aseptic and sterile techniques, basic dressing changes, ventilator and trach management, suctioning, g-tube/j-tube management, feeding tubes, chest tubes, epidurals, PCAs, drip management, Foley insertion and management, discharge skills, CRRT experience with Prismax preferred; CICU experience preferred EMR: Epic (preferred) Other Details: Floating: MedSurg, or ED or NICU as Helping Hands or Constant Observer Consider first-time Traveler: Yes Patient Types: respiratory patients (high flow, CPAP, BiPAP), trachs, chemo, RSV, asthma, Covid; medical: MIS-C, new onset diabetes with insulin drips, chronically ill, oncology; trauma (falls, MVAs, etc.); cardiovascular –congenital heart defects patients (will stay from surgery until discharge); Stat category 1, 2, 3, occasionally 4; surgical – appys, g-tubes, ENT, fresh trachs, bowel obstructions, broken bones, VP shunts, cardiac, neuro; NO solid organ transplant, major burns, stem cell transplant; tier 3 during COVID surge: provide care up to age 30 (extremely rare); any bad facial wounds, eye injuries or penetrating trauma will go to Level 1 Trauma Center- Harborview; ECMO (ECMO specialist will deal with the ECMO machine); CRRT -traveler can take if have had previous experience and train with the Priamax (fairly low volume seen on the unit so likely will got to core staff); use Prismax 152 total bed Level II trauma center/level IV NICU with 16 PICU beds (interchangeable overflow between MS and PICU: mixed with neuro, cardiac, respiratory, surgical, medical) Epic Travel Staffing: Day 1 health insurance coverage and comprehensive benefits options 401(k) matching program Weekly direct deposit Industry leading allowances and reimbursements Referral program with cash bonuses and additional perks Exclusive job openings - Only at Epic Epic Staffing Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
