Registered Nurse – Progressive Care - Travel - (PCU RN)
StartDate: 7/27/2026 Available Shifts: 12 D/N Pay Rate: $1699.00 - $1804.00

Floating:Within region and scope of practiceWill be required to float per region needs – will require floating to all facilities listed below, as needed, within scope of practice – DECLINE if not agreeableRegion 1 - Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH (peds only) -- could float to any of the facilities within region if the need arisesIf floating mid-shift, Traveler will be paid for the time traveling between facilities (will remain on the clock)Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:HPB Patients – Whipples, Liver Resections, Distal Pancreas/Spleen, PancreatitisWomen’s Surgery – Hysterectomies, MastectomiesPlastic Surgery – DIEP Flap (Breast Reconstruction), PanniculectomyPatient Ratios:RN: 1:4-5LPN (if applicable): 1:4-5CNA: 1:10Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:RN: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (Resource Team requirement)Skills required:Drain Care, Central Line Management, G/J Tubes, Heparin Gtt management, Cardiac Gtt management (ACLS), cardiac rhythm interpretation, NGT placement/management, management of various surgical drainsSupport within the Department:CNA Duties - able to perform blood draws, foley insertion/removal, standard patient care as assignedCharge nurse - Able to assist with patient care, med passes, & admissions; may or may not have an assignmentIV/VAT Team - Available as a consult within the hospitalResource Nurse - Mentors available on night shiftTelemetry monitoring/techTechnology/Equipment:EMR: EpicIV Pump: AlarisMed dispensing: OmnicellMonitors: PhillipsUnit specific equipment: Bladder scanner, EKG machine, transport monitor, bedside Tele monitors in PCU roomsPatient Safety Net
