This is a clerical position which is the first line representative to the hospitals and surgery centers and is responsible for scheduling appointments and operative procedures. This position works as a team member of the clinic.Responsibilities:Coordinates the scheduling of appointments and surgical procedures accurately, recognizing the importance and relationship to patient careVerifies insurance benefitsObtains insurance pre-certification and authorization as requiredCoordinates and schedules patient appointments to include pre-op, pre-admit and post-op appointmentsSchedules all meetings for provider, including attorney and vendor meetingsMaintains, coordinates and manipulates provider clinic schedule to accommodate surgical cases, CME, vacation, court appearance, attorney depositions and all other meetings for the provider, using both Epic and MS Outlook programsRequirements:High school graduate or equivalent preferredTwo (2) years of clerical experience in a medical environment (preferred)MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital has served the Yakima Valley since 1950. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
