Resumen del Puesto El/la Cocinero/a de Preparación es responsable de preparar los ingredientes y realizar tareas previas a la cocina para asegurar que el servicio funcione de manera eficiente. Este puesto es clave para mantener la calidad, consistencia y rapidez en la cocina. Responsabilidades Lavar, cortar y preparar carnes, vegetales y otros ingredientes. Medir y porcionar ingredientes según recetas establecidas. Preparar salsas, aderezos y otros productos básicos. Etiquetar y almacenar alimentos correctamente siguiendo el sistema FIFO. Mantener el área de trabajo limpia y organizada. Apoyar a los cocineros de línea durante el servicio cuando sea necesario. Cumplir con las normas de higiene y seguridad alimentaria. Revisar la frescura y calidad de los ingredientes. Requisitos Experiencia previa en cocina (preferible). Conocimiento básico de manipulación segura de alimentos. Habilidad para trabajar en equipo y seguir instrucciones. Capacidad para trabajar en un ambiente rápido y bajo presión. Disponibilidad para trabajar fines de semana y días festivos. Position Summary The Prep Cook is responsible for preparing ingredients and performing basic kitchen tasks to ensure smooth and efficient service. This position plays a key role in maintaining food quality, consistency, and kitchen organization. Responsibilities Wash, cut, and prepare meats, vegetables, and other ingredients. Measure and portion ingredients according to standardized recipes. Prepare sauces, dressings, and other basic food items. Label and store food properly following FIFO procedures. Maintain a clean and organized workstation. Support line cooks during service as needed. Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines. Check freshness and quality of ingredients. Qualifications Previous kitchen experience preferred. Basic knowledge of safe food handling practices. Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
