Responsibilities Evaluate patients and recommend an appropriate treatment plan. Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions. Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes. Promote continuous quality improvement. Teach and counsel patients and families. Minimum Requirements Active CRT or RRT credential from NBRC or state equivalent. Proof of graduation: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date. Current state licensure required. ACLS required within 6 months of hire (or upon first shift for agency RTs, upon hire for PRN staff). Preferred Qualifications One year of related experience preferred.
