Job Description
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides essential personal care and support to individuals, ensuring their safety, well-being, and emotional comfort throughout daily routines. This role involves assisting with medication, monitoring behavior, and preparing meals, operating primarily as an individual contributor with routine daily tasks.
Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care and hygiene tasks
- Provide medication assistance as prescribed
- Document client progress and activities accurately
- Monitor and report behavior changes
- Supervise safety during daily activities
- Prepare meals according to dietary needs
- Offer emotional support to clients
Required Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in direct support or caregiving
- High school diploma or equivalent

- Strong communication abilities
- Empathy and compassion
- Crisis intervention experience
- Teamwork and collaboration
