Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Class A CDL Driver with Hazmat and tanker endorsements to ensure the safe and efficient transportation of materials. The role involves operating commercial vehicles, performing vehicle inspections, securing loads, maintaining DOT compliance, and working flexible schedules, including nights and weekends as needed. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and customer service while operating manual transmission commercial trucks.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Secure loads according to safety regulations.
• Maintain compliance with DOT regulations.
• Work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends as needed.
• Demonstrate professionalism and a strong commitment to customer service.

Essential Skills

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Active Hazmat Endorsement.
• Active tanker Endorsement.
• Clean DMV record.
• Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating manual transmission commercial trucks.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience performing vehicle inspections.
• Load securement experience.
• Ability to work variable schedules.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Dump truck experience.
• Flatbed experience.
• Tanker hauling experience.
• Experience in construction, aggregate, asphalt, fuel, or industrial transportation.
• Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs).
• Customer-facing delivery experience.
• Local route and regional driving experience.

Work Environment

Join a team of 10 drivers with many long-term employees who have grown from within. Shift and hours vary, offering numerous overtime opportunities. Be prepared for a variable schedule, with assignments communicated the day before or on the same day, and work in an on-call style scheduling environment.

This is a Permanent position based out of Pittsburg, CA.

The pay range for this position is $60320.00 - $60320.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Pittsburg,CA.
