Join Our Team as a Medical Billing Specialist!
Do you have a keen eye for detail and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment? If so, we are looking for you to join our team at Slingsby & Huot Eye Associates in Rapid City, SD as a Medical Billing Specialist!
Job Responsibilities:- Accurately post insurance and patient payments (primary responsibility)
- Perform medical coding for ophthalmology services
- Process insurance and patient refunds
- Prepare patient estimates for upcoming procedures and assist with estimate phone calls as needed
- Answer billing-related phone calls and assist patients with billing questions
- Perform accounts receivable follow-up with insurance companies and patients
- Assist with other revenue cycle and billing department duties as assigned
- Knowledge of medical billing and coding procedures
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in electronic health records systems
