Job Title: Surgical Technologist (Operating Room)

Location : Syracuse, NY, 13215

Duration: 13 Weeks

Schedule:

• 40 hours per week
• Mix of 8-hour and 12-hour evening shifts
• Shift times may include:
• 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
• 11:00 AM – 11:30 PM

Pay: $50-$54/Hourly

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields for surgical procedures.
• Scrub and assist surgeons during surgical cases.
• Maintain aseptic technique throughout procedures.
• Anticipate surgical team needs and provide appropriate instruments and supplies.
• Ensure proper handling and accountability of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, anaesthesia providers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Support patient safety and quality standards in the operating room.

Required Qualifications:

• Current Surgical Technologist certification.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent operating room experience (within the last 4 years).
• Experience in a Level I or Level II trauma centre, teaching hospital, or comparable acute care facility.
• Demonstrated scrub experience in multiple surgical specialties.
• OB scrub experience required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal orientation and supervision.

Additional Requirements:

• Successful completion of pre-employment health screening.
• No history of professional license or certification suspension or investigation.
• Ability to adapt to a high-volume, fast-paced surgical environment
