Machine Operator | El Paso, TX - temporary, full time

EXPERIENCE IS PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED

Looking for a team player who is eager to develop and grow within the company. We are looking for someone who possesses strong oral and written communication skills and displays some degree of technical know-how. Mathematical, analytical, and mechanical skills are also essential to success as a machinist. Under general supervision with general instruction, this position is responsible for performing moderately complex functions related to machine tools. Must have a good work history and track record.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operates production equipment to produce products in accordance with production needs. Produces assigned products in accordance with verbal and written instructions. Completes equipment set-ups in accordance with customer specifications and quality procedures. Records length of time and quantity of materials used for each job. Inspects parts and documents findings on appropriate paperwork as needed. Helps to train fellow employees or temps on machines, reading blueprints, understanding routings, and policies. Maintains work areas in a clean, orderly and safe manner to include returning tools to designated areas. Adheres to established policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations. Notifies management of product discrepancies, equipment malfunctions, and/or personal injuries. Wears personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines. Performs other related duties as assigned.
