Oncology Registered Nurse (RN)

Title: Outpatient Radiation Oncology RN

Schedule: Shift options: 5x8s or 4x10s, Monday–Friday - 8-hour shifts: 07:00–15:00 or 14:00–22:00 - 10-hour shifts: 07:00–17:00 - No weekends, no call, no floating

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years RN experience
• Oncology experience required
• Radiation oncology experience preferred
• Required certification: BLS
• Familiarity with outpatient oncology care and symptom management (nausea, fatigue, pain)
• Knowledge of radiation therapy modalities (External Beam, IGRT, IMRT, palliative radiation preferred)
• Experience in oral chemotherapy administration and opioid management
• Skills in skin/mucous membrane care and wound assessment
• Ability to recognize and communicate abnormal labs and changes in patient status
• Basic inpatient oncology exposure preferred but this is an outpatient role
• Experience with Epic charting system required

Compliance / Notes:

• References: 2 references covering 1 year within the last 3 years required
• Pre-start modules: Completed before start; average ~16 hours (over 20 hours requires PM approval)
• Vaccine status: COVID-19 vaccine not required; flu vaccine status unknown
