Direct Credit Product Manager / Platform Specialist As part of Hamilton Lane’s Global Client Solutions Team, the Direct Credit Product Manager/Platform Specialist is responsible for the overall management and execution of all aspects of one or more investment products and platforms, including fundraising support, product strategy, and ongoing investor relations across global markets. The role serves as the subject matter expert and primary point of contact across closed‑end and evergreen solutions, working closely with investment, marketing, legal, operations and other internal partners to drive product growth and deliver a superior investor experience. Responsibilities Platform and Product Leadership – Serve as primary product/platform representative, manage the full product lifecycle from fundraising and launch through investment period and maturity; develop messaging and commercial narratives. Fundraising and Investor Relations – Oversee fundraising efforts, plan campaigns, support prospect coverage, lead investor meetings, manage investor communication and deliver letters, reporting commentary, FAQs. Product Marketing and Content Ownership – Own marketing collateral (pitchbooks, factsheets, decks, RFP language, due diligence materials), ensure accuracy, collaborate on go‑to‑market plans, maintain standard responses. Product Operations and Technical Expertise – Understand structural, operational, legal aspects; support onboarding, governance, documentation; monitor health KPIs and provide insights. Cross‑Functional Collaboration and Strategy – Evaluate new product ideas, provide market intelligence, communicate platform updates to global sales and stakeholders. Leadership and Team Development – Guide junior product team members, delegate tasks, review deliverables, act as escalation point for complex client requests. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (B.A., B.S. or B.B.A.) or equivalent experience; advanced degree (MBA/CFA) preferred. 12–15+ years in financial services with exposure to product management, investor relations, investment consulting or private markets. Experience working with institutional or wealth clients, sales teams, or investment professionals; client‑facing or product‑focused role. Strong written and verbal communication; ability to simplify complex topics for varied audiences. Project management skills – manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize, meet deadlines. Ownership, organization, attention to detail; able to work with limited oversight within matrixed organization. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; data, presentation, reporting skills. Direct experience with private‑market products (commingled funds, evergreen vehicles, customized mandates); familiarity with RFP/DDQ, investor reporting, sales enablement. Experience mentoring junior team members and coordinating global teams. Comfort presenting to senior stakeholders and external clients, including conferences and investor meetings.
