IT Support Technician

Salary: $70,000 - 110,000 per year Requirements:

• We prefer candidates with an associates degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• We prefer candidates with CompTIA A+ certification, or a similar credential.
• We value experience using helpdesk ticketing platforms.
• We value exposure to Active Directory and remote support utilities.
• We look for a solid working knowledge of Windows operating systems and familiarity with common office software, including Microsoft 365.
• We look for knowledge of networking basics, including TCP/IP and Wi-Fi troubleshooting.
• We expect the ability to install, configure, and update operating systems and standard applications.
• Candidates should be able to document support requests and resolutions in the helpdesk system.
• Candidates should be able to escalate complex issues to other team members when needed.
• Candidates should maintain awareness of our IT policies and security procedures.

• We provide first-line technical support to end users and work to resolve hardware, software, and network issues promptly.
• We troubleshoot, diagnose, and escalate problems when necessary while delivering strong customer service.
• We respond to user questions through the ticketing system in a professional and timely way.
• We diagnose and resolve basic hardware, software, and connectivity problems.
• We assist with password resets, account setup, and access permissions.
• We guide users on best practices and basic troubleshooting steps.
• We work onsite at our corporate location and may travel to other plant locations as needed.
• We are available Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with occasional evening or weekend coverage for urgent or critical issues.

We are Babbitting Service Inc and have an opportunity for a hands-on, onsite IT Support Technician at our corporate location. This in-house role focuses on providing responsive end-user support, resolving technical issues efficiently, and maintaining a professional customer service experience. The position offers an hourly wage of $24.50 to $29.00 and may require occasional evening or weekend availability for urgent matters, as well as travel to other plant locations. Candidates must complete a background check prior to orientation, and we participate in E-Verify.
