Collections/ Credit Manager

Position Overview An organization is seeking a Collections & Treasury Manager to lead both commercial collections and treasury operations. This role is responsible for improving cash flow, optimizing working capital, overseeing accounts receivable performance, and managing daily treasury activities. The position will partner closely with Finance, Accounting, Operations, and Commercial teams to support liquidity, reduce risk, and drive process improvements across the organization. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong experience in commercial collections, cash management, forecasting, and team leadership. This individual will bring a continuous improvement mindset and a proven ability to drive operational efficiencies while supporting strategic financial objectives. Key Responsibilities Collections & Accounts Receivable Leadership Lead and develop the collections and accounts receivable team Implement strategies to improve cash collections, cash conversion, and DSO performance Oversee commercial customer accounts and manage collection activities Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve billing disputes and payment issues Monitor customer credit exposure and support credit risk management initiatives Develop and track key performance metrics to improve collection effectiveness Treasury & Cash Management Manage daily cash positioning and liquidity activities Prepare and maintain short- and long-term cash flow forecasts Maintain banking relationships and support financing activities Monitor working capital performance and identify optimization opportunities Manage treasury systems, banking platforms, and electronic payment processes Provide leadership with cash flow reporting and liquidity insights Leadership & Business Partnership Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, Operations, and Commercial teams Support strategic initiatives related to cash flow, working capital, and financial performance Communicate financial insights and recommendations to management Process Improvement & Controls Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives across collections and treasury functions Enhance internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies Identify opportunities to improve reporting, workflows, and financial processes Support ERP and treasury system enhancements Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field 5–8 years of experience in treasury, collections, accounts receivable, or finance leadership roles Strong experience with commercial collections and cash flow management Experience with cash forecasting, liquidity management, and working capital optimization Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience with ERP systems, treasury platforms, and financial reporting tools Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Excellent communication and leadership abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications Experience in a large corporate, manufacturing, industrial, transportation, or logistics environment Experience with Treasury Management Systems (TMS) and banking platforms Knowledge of credit risk management and customer credit analysis Experience leading process improvement and automation initiatives Exposure to asset-based lending or complex financing structures is a plus Louisville, KY, USOn-SiteLogistics & Warehousing, Manufacturing - All Other Vaco$ 110000.00 - 125000.00 yearly direct hire
