Overview Driving School Instructor at Auto Club Of Southern Calif. Santa Clarita, CA. As a Driving Instructor on the AAA Driving School team, you will educate teens and adults on the fundamentals of safe driving, teach safe driving techniques, and provide a positive learning environment while applying knowledge of state driving laws and regulations. Responsibilities Conduct behind-the-wheel training for drivers of all ages and experience levels in alignment with the AAA Driving School curriculum and training program. Utilize driving school software to record and maintain student progress. Evaluate student performance and provide additional support as needed. Maintain knowledge of safe driving and defensive driving practices and comply with all state record-keeping requirements. Work may be required at various locations within a 50 mile radius. A company car with paid gas, maintenance, and insurance is provided. What You\'ll Need Experience in driving instruction, teaching, education, or the automotive industry. Ability to interact well with the public and teens. Strong motivation to improve safe driving practices for all drivers. Flexibility to accommodate student schedules, including weekday starts as late as 12 pm and at least one weekend day per week. Physical ability to sit for extended periods in a vehicle, see and hear in various weather conditions, and perform movements such as bending, stooping, kneeling, touching, and reaching; able to lift up to 25 lbs. High School Diploma or equivalent; valid driver\'s license with acceptable driving record; 3-5 years of driving experience. Must obtain Driving School licensing as required by the state, and pass a DMV physical exam, background check, and drug test. Compensation Starting pay range: $20.50 - $22.55 per hour. After completing the first year, eligibility to participate in an incentive program based on team and individual performance.
