RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Part-time position requiring 2x12-hour shifts plus 2 on-call shifts within a 4-week period
• Day, night, weekend, and holiday rotation schedule
• Two years acute hospital experience as an RN required
• One year emergency department hospital experience as an RN required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, Stroke Certification (must be AHA or RQI)
• NYS RN licensure required
• Apply nursing theory, technical, and communication skills in delivering high-quality compassionate care
• Assess patient needs and identify urgent or emergent care priorities
• Provide direct care, apply appropriate interventions, and evaluate patient progress
• Utilize various invasive and non-invasive procedures, treatments, and therapeutic interventions
• Manage life-threatening and routine emergency situations
• Conduct triage and assign priority of care in accordance with ESI training standards
• Perform primary and secondary assessments for patients of all age groups
• Document major deviations from norm within acceptable time frames
• Assess physiological, psychosocial, emotional, and cultural needs of patients and families
• Prepare patients and families for diagnostic procedures and treatments
• Provide discharge education and instructions for continuing care at home
