Irrigation Specialist

Job Description Job Description We are looking for an experienced and reliable Irrigation Specialist to join our landscaping team. This position will primarily focus on irrigation winterizations and blowouts , along with seasonal irrigation maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience performing irrigation blowouts and is comfortable working independently, operating a truck with a trailer, and working with both residential and commercial irrigation systems.

Irrigation winterization/blowout experience is required.

Key Responsibilities

Perform irrigation winterizations and blowouts on residential and commercial properties

Connect and operate compressors safely and properly for irrigation blowouts

Inspect irrigation systems before and during winterization

Identify and troubleshoot irrigation system issues

Repair and maintain pipes, valves, sprinkler heads, drip lines, controllers, and related components

Perform seasonal irrigation start-ups and maintenance

Troubleshoot 2-wire irrigation systems, including wire faults and decoder issues

Program and adjust irrigation controllers

Work independently at multiple properties throughout the season

Drive a company truck and safely tow a trailer and compressor

Communicate professionally with customers and team members

Maintain clean and organized work areas

Document work completed and materials used

Follow all safety procedures when operating tools, vehicles, and equipment

Required Qualifications

Previous hands-on irrigation winterization/blowout experience required

Ability to independently perform irrigation blowouts

Experience working with irrigation systems and components

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Ability to safely drive a truck while pulling a trailer

Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

Ability to lift 50+ lbs

Ability to work independently and manage multiple properties

Preferred Qualifications

Commercial irrigation blowout experience

Experience with larger or more complex irrigation systems

Experience with 2-wire irrigation systems

Knowledge of irrigation controllers and programming

Ability to read irrigation plans and wiring diagrams

Experience performing irrigation start-ups and seasonal maintenance

What Were Looking For

We are especially interested in candidates who have personally performed irrigation blowouts , rather than candidates who have only assisted another technician.

Commercial experience is strongly preferred, but residential blowout experience will also be considered .

Pay & Benefits

$19.00–$32.00 per hour based on experience
