Registered Nurse (RN) Vascular Access

Registered Nurse (RN) Vascular Access Schedule: Monday-Fri, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. (no call/no weekends). Job type: In person. Location: Martinsville, VA. Responsibilities Insert and maintain Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters (PICC). Provide maintenance and follow-up care for PICC lines and central lines. Initiate training and education for nursing staff, patients, and families as required. Perform assessment, care planning, and intervention for vascular access patients. Apply device algorithms and troubleshoot vascular access devices. Perform ultrasound-guided peripheral IV starts. Administer Cath Flow for obstructed lines per physician order. Qualifications Graduate of a professional school of nursing. Current VA RN license or compact state license. American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification. American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within one year of employment. Previous experience as a vascular access nurse.
