Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Med/Surg & eICU

Role: Specialty Registered Nurse Med/Surg & eICU

Schedule: Day Shift: 3, 12-hour shifts per week

Requirements:

• Two-year degree in nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Must hold and maintain a Registered Nursing license.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 1 month of hire.
• ACLS certification required or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• PALS encouraged.
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide quality, professional nursing care to patients, ensuring individualized care based on unique needs and situations.
• Assess, plan, implement, document, and evaluate patient care for a group of patients within the department.
• Use the nursing process throughout the patient's hospitalization and maintain a comprehensive understanding of procedures and treatments, explaining them to patients.
• Monitor and communicate significant changes in patient conditions and ensure appropriate notification to providers.
• Administer medications accurately, including IV therapy, and ensure a safe environment for patients.
• Collaborate with other healthcare team members in planning and providing care based on patient needs.

Compliance / Notes:

• Must demonstrate understanding and utilization of Universal Precautions, asepsis, and infection control procedures.
• Proper handling of specimens is required.
