Industrial Maintenance Technician

Overview:
We need a skilled and safety-focused Industrial, Steel Maintenance Technician to fabricate, repair, and maintain our heavy-duty plant machinery, structural steel components, and industrial equipment. You will apply your expertise in metal fabrication, troubleshooting, and various skills (read tape measure, hydraulic and pneumatic), to minimize equipment downtime and maintain a high standard of structural integrity across our facility.

The hourly pay rate is $32.42/hr.

The schedule is 7:30 am until 4:00 pm - with likely overtime

What You'll Do

• Troubleshoot & repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems
• Perform welding (MIG/Stick), plasma cutting, and torch work
• Complete preventative & predictive maintenance
• Follow safety programs (LOTO, Arc Flash, PPE, etc.)
• Maintain equipment like presses, shears, lasers, and overhead cranes
• Assist with facility upkeep (interior & exterior)
• Keep work areas organized (5S)
• Train others as needed

What We Are Seeking

• Prior maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting
• Ability to read schematics (electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic)
• Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, maintenance systems)
• Forklift & overhead crane experience
• Strong safety mindset and attention to detail
• Must be able to work overtime as needed

Nice to Have:

• PLC or robotics experience
• CNC or CAD/CAM knowledge

Work Environment:

• Industrial setting (hot, cold, noisy, dusty)
• Indoor & outdoor work required
• Must be comfortable working at heights and in tight spaces
• PPE required at all times

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting (up to 70 lbs)
