This Advanced Practice Provider role is central to delivering high-quality, patient-focused care within UVA Health's Hospital Medicine service. You will practice at the top of your license while supporting inpatient throughput, care continuity, and clinical excellence across a dynamic and evolving environment. This position offers a unique opportunity to manage complex general medicine patients while working in a highly collaborative, academic health system. The Role As an APP on the Hospital Medicine team, you will manage a dedicated panel of general medicine patients while balancing independent clinical decision-making with strong interdisciplinary collaboration. The pace is steady and engaging, requiring adaptability, accountability, and a commitment to shared team success. In this role, you will:

• Independently round on an assigned list of patients, managing ongoing inpatient care
• Oversee the full continuum of care, including:
• Admissions
• Daily care management
• Consult coordination
• Discharges and transitions of care
• Participate in a Hospital Medicine consult service, providing clinical support across cases
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing, care management, and other APP colleagues
• Contribute to a 40-hour work week equivalent structure, ensuring consistency and sustainable scheduling

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Graduate of an accredited graduate school of nursing or physician assistant program with a master's degree. Experience: Department and unit specific. Licensure: License or license eligible as an Advance Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner, Physician Associate, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, and Certified Nurse Midwife) as set forth by the state of Virginia. If Nurse Practitioner, license to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia is required. Must demonstrate and maintain all credentialing and licensing requirements of UVA Health System, the Virginia Board of Medicine or the Virginia Board of Nursing, and appropriate certifying bodies. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Current PALS/NRP, as required, specific to position. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) as required, specific to position.

The pay range for this role is $116,123.00 - $171,163.20 annually. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
