Position Summary

Ladgov Corporation is seeking a qualified

Protestant Religious Education Coordinator

to support the Protestant religious education program at Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri. The Coordinator will plan, organize, and oversee religious education programs for children, youth, and adults while working closely with the Senior Protestant Chaplain, chapel staff, volunteers, and other religious education personnel. The position includes program planning, curriculum coordination, volunteer recruitment and training, budgeting, event support, publicity, recordkeeping, and oversight of religious education activities. Work Schedule

The Coordinator will provide at least

128 hours of service per month

, averaging approximately

32 hours per week

. A minimum of

80 hours per month

will be performed at the chapel during normal operating hours of

7:30 AM to 4:30 PM

. Remaining hours may include evenings, weekends, training, program events, coordination activities, and religious education research. Regular Sunday, midweek, youth, children's, and special religious education activities may require evening or weekend availability. Key Responsibilities

Plan and coordinate Protestant religious education programs for children, youth, and adults. Organize Sunday programs, Bible studies, youth activities, Vacation Bible School, retreats, and special events. Select and manage approved curriculum, educational materials, supplies, and program resources. Recruit, schedule, train, and support volunteers, including required background screening for personnel working with minors. Assist with program budgets, funding requests, purchasing, and expense tracking. Maintain attendance, program records, calendars, and required administrative documentation. Coordinate facility use, room setup, equipment, and logistical support for scheduled activities. Promote religious education programs through approved communication and publicity methods. Attend chapel meetings and coordinate closely with chaplains, chapel staff, volunteers, and other faith-group representatives.

Required Qualifications

Minimum

two years of experience as a Religious Education Coordinator

. Minimum

two years of experience planning, organizing, and directing religious education programs

for children, youth, and adults. Experience may include programs such as Sunday School, AWANA, Vacation Bible School, youth ministry, Bible studies, small groups, or similar religious education activities. Knowledge of Protestant religious education curriculum and instructional materials. Ability to work effectively in a diverse and pluralistic military environment. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work cooperatively with chaplains, chapel staff, volunteers, children, youth, adults, and families. Proficiency with

Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Outlook

. Ability to learn applicable Air Force chapel program, administrative, and budgeting procedures. Ability to successfully complete required background screening for work involving children. Application Requirements

Applicants must provide: A current resume demonstrating the required religious education experience. Two positive professional reference letters

from individuals who have supervised the applicant while working in religious education. Availability to participate in an interview as part of the selection process.
