Litigation Paralegal

Join a respected boutique Portland law firm as a paralegal, where you'll support attorneys handling serious injury, wrongful death, civil rights, and complex litigation matters. LOCATION: Portland, OR SALARY: $75,000+/year (DOE) SCHEDULE: Full-time; 35–37.5 hours/week | In-office with 1 remote day after training WHY YOU’LL LOVE THIS ROLE Opportunity to manage plaintiff litigation cases from intake through resolution Collaborative, close-knit team environment with direct attorney interaction Excellent work-life balance with flexible office hours and one remote day per week Comprehensive benefits package including medical coverage, paid parking, retirement benefits, and bonus opportunities Long-term growth potential within a respected plaintiff-focused law firm KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Manage plaintiff litigation files from intake through resolution, including calendaring, deadlines, and case management Prepare cases for trial, including organizing exhibits, discovery, deposition transcripts, trial notebooks, and court filings Draft pleadings, discovery requests and responses, deposition notices, correspondence, and other litigation documents Obtain and organize medical records, billing records, liens, treatment chronologies, and damages documentation Coordinate with clients, medical providers, courts, opposing counsel, and expert witnesses Schedule depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial-related events Ensure timely filing and service in compliance with Oregon court rules WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR Prior litigation experience with a strong understanding of Oregon court procedures and trial preparation Plaintiff-side experience preferred, but trial experience in any practice area will be considered Strong multitasking, problem-solving, and organizational skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, polished work Resourceful, curious, coachable, and adaptable to changing priorities Genuine interest in plaintiff advocacy, civil rights litigation, and long-term professional growth PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Office-based role requiring extended periods of sitting and computer work, along with occasional standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting or carrying files and office materials weighing up to 20 pounds. Must possess the manual dexterity, visual acuity, and communication skills necessary to prepare legal documents, operate office equipment, and interact effectively with clients, attorneys, court personnel, and other stakeholders.
