Job Title: Production Associate – Automated Apparel Manufacturing
Job Description

This role supports and operates novel automated apparel assembly equipment within a modern manufacturing environment, taking ownership of key production tasks and contributing to overall performance in soft goods manufacturing. You will work hands-on with production lines, manage materials, and help maintain a safe, organized, and efficient operation.

Responsibilities

• Own the daily operation of automated apparel production lines, ensuring consistent and efficient performance.
• Support day-to-day manufacturing operations, including material handling, equipment support, and quality inspection activities.
• Retrieve, stage, and organize production materials to keep the manufacturing process running smoothly.
• Record parts usage accurately and update stock quantities in a timely manner to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Perform packing and shipping of finished products in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.
• Follow all safety standards and protocols at all times to maintain a safe working environment.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of workstations and surrounding areas to support efficient production and safety.

• Experience working in a production, manufacturing, or general production environment.
• Hands-on experience with machine operation or production line equipment.
• Ability to perform packaging, packing, and general production tasks with attention to detail.
• Capability to handle materials safely and efficiently in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong focus on safety and adherence to established safety procedures.
• Ability to maintain organized, clean, and orderly work areas.
• Basic record-keeping skills to track parts usage and update stock quantities.

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment focused on soft goods or apparel is beneficial.
• Familiarity with automated or robotics-assisted production lines is a plus.
• Comfort working with evolving processes and production schedules in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and equipment used in automated manufacturing.

Work Environment

You will work in a manufacturing environment that focuses on automated apparel production lines and advanced machinery. The role follows a day shift schedule, with a start time that will be discussed and finalized during the interview process based on production needs; typical start times range between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. The setting involves hands-on interaction with production equipment, material handling, and packing activities, requiring consistent adherence to safety standards and maintaining clean, organized workstations.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newark, CA.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Newark,CA.
