This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, advanced troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to safe, efficient operations in an industrial manufacturing environment. It’s an ideal role for individuals who thrive on problem-solving, hands-on maintenance work, and ensuring equipment reliability.Shift: 7:00am-3:00pm, 3:00pm-11:00pm, 11:00pm-7:00amMonday-SaturdayPay: $35.46 + production incentiveWhat You’ll DoPerform safe, effective mechanical maintenance and repair of tube mill production equipment in accordance with company safety policies and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.Inspect, monitor, and document equipment conditions using both manual and computerized maintenance management systems.Read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings to perform accurate equipment repairs.Utilize hand tools, power tools, cranes, hoists, measuring devices, and testing equipment effectively and safely.Troubleshoot mechanical and process issues to identify root causes and determine corrective actions.Perform breakdown maintenance, preventive maintenance, and equipment changeovers to ensure continuous production.Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring housekeeping is audit-ready following each task.Provide guidance and support to co-workers and communicate effectively with supervisors regarding equipment or safety concerns.Report any unresolved safety, quality, or operational issues to your supervisor promptly.Perform other duties as assigned by management.Who You AreHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Proven mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Ability to read blueprints, use measuring tools, and operate both hand and power tools.Experience with cranes, hoists, and mechanical systems in an industrial or manufacturing environment.Comfortable using computerized maintenance management systems.Strong communication skills and commitment to workplace safety and collaboration.Physical AbilitiesRegularly required to stand, walk, reach, and use hands to handle or feel equipment and materials.Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs and perform climbing, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling tasks.Must be able to work safely in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical parts, fumes, and loud noise levels.Regular, full-time, on-site attendance is required per the posted schedule.What You’ll GetZekelman Industries offers competitive compensation and excellent benefits, including low-cost, high-quality medical and dental benefits.
