Analytical Chemist

AM Testing & Services is excited to announce an immediate opportunity for an experienced Analytical Chemist at our laboratory facility in Punta Gorda, Florida . This is a hands‑on role ideal for a motivated individual looking to grow with a fast‑paced, quality‑driven testing laboratory. Pay: competitive, negotiable based on experience Key Responsibilities Operate, maintain, and calibrate a wide range of analytical instrumentation, including: ICP/OES, ICP/MS HPLC/MSMS GC/MS UV/VIS Spectrophotometry Perform sample preparation, extraction, digestion, and analysis on both routine and complex matrices. Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and instrumentation operation. Review and validate analytical results for accuracy and compliance with internal and external quality standards. Support and advise clients and customer service teams with technical information and analytical results. Assist in maintaining and advancing our laboratory’s ISO 17025 accreditation through A2LA. Work collaboratively within a small, fast‑paced team environment with a focus on quality, efficiency, and innovation. Contribute to expanding the laboratory’s scope by introducing new analytical methods and technologies. Requirements Master’s Degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field preferred 2–5 years of hands‑on laboratory experience is required Strong working knowledge and experience with at least some of the following instrumentation: ICP/OES, ICP/MS GC/MS, HPLC/MSMS UV/VIS Ability to maintain and troubleshoot analytical instruments Excellent documentation and organizational skills Detail‑oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality control Familiarity with ISO 17025 and A2LA quality systems Effective verbal and written communication skills Comfortable working in a collaborative, team‑oriented lab setting Preferred Skills Experience using instrument‑specific software such as: Agilent ChemStation and MassHunter PerkinElmer WinLab, Syngistix, and Spectrum Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Experience introducing new testing methodologies or expanding lab capabilities How to Apply For immediate consideration, please send your resume and inquiries to: View email address on click.appcast.io Join our growing team at AM Testing & Services! #J-18808-Ljbffr
