Job Description:

McLaren Oakland is seeking a Medical Oncology and Hematology Physician to provide outpatient clinic coverage on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, including clinic call as needed. This role is to cover a recruitment gap.

Responsibilities:

Provide outpatient hematology and oncology care
Participate in tumor board discussions
Support an outpatient clinic staffed with dedicated support staff including Oncology RNs, Medical Assistants, Social Worker, Dietitian, and Nurse Navigator
Manage approximately 15-20 outpatient clinic patients daily
Conduct clinic call as needed

Practice Details:

EMR System: Cerner
Support staff includes Oncology RNs, Medical Assistants, Social Worker, Dietitian, and Nurse Navigator
Onsite services available include infusion center, onsite CBCs
Previous practice setting with two physicians plus NP assistance

Coverage Details:

Days Required: Monday, Wednesday, Friday
Clinic Hours: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
On-Call: Clinic call only
Location specific to Oakland

Additional Information:

Orientation pay: Half the hourly rate
Travel & Mileage: Reimbursement capped at $150 (including taxes), rental vehicle must be refueled before return
No lodging or travel expenses reimbursed through third-party websites
Malpractice insurance must be included in rates
No tax reimbursements for lodging
