Athletic Trainer

Overview Starting at $56,138, salary commensurate with experience. The Athletic Trainer will be responsible for injury prevention, care and treatment of athletes and will assist medical staff in caring for our outpatient/orthopedic patient care needs. The trainer will be assigned to St. John’s Jesuit High School to provide athletic training services including practice and event coverage. The trainer will also assist in providing exercise programs to injured athletes and conditioning programs. Maintaining records of treatment plans, physician notes, and daily logs is required at the assigned site. Handling clerical tasks such as maintaining inventory, assisting with budgets, and restocking supplies is also required. Qualifications Minimum qualifications are as follows. Master’s degree required, or 5+ years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree in sports medicine, athletic training or equivalent in lieu of a Master’s degree. Licensed Athletic Training in OH (required or eligible to obtain). Obtains/maintains CPR certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Functional in Excel, Power Point and Word. Demonstrates ethical and professional behavior. Interacts with all coaches, administrators, and physicians as appropriate for the needs of the athletes.
