General Manager

General Manager Opportunity at Endless Love Pet Palace

The General Manager is responsible for all day-to-day operations of the facility. This includes hiring, job coaching, training, scheduling, managing inventory, managing to a set budget, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Reports To: District Director

Pay: $48,000 - $52,000 Salary + Quarterly Bonus Opportunities!

Core Responsibilities

• Supports the mission, vision, culture and policies of Destination Pet.
• Ensures exceptional customer service.
• Collaborate with the Destination Pet Support Staff.
• Ensure the cohesiveness of all aspects of pet care services.
• Manages all staff at center.
• Oversees the scheduling of staff for work assignments.
• Manages center payroll.
• Works with Destination Pet Human Resources.
• Ensures safety of all employees.
• Prepares and delivers annual performance reviews.
• Monitors and responds to the needs of pet guests.
• Resolve any and all customer and staff complaints.
• Actively manages center's social media accounts.
• Creates, implements and executes on local marketing programs.
• Attends community events and partners with local businesses.
• Maintains appropriate inventory of supplies.
• Monitors and manages all computer systems located in the center.
• Addresses all center maintenance needs.
• Utilizes financial reports and statistics.
• Responsible for cash management.
• Promotes and markets Destination Pet's programs and services.
• Assists other team members as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Expertise & Experience:

• BS/BA is a plus.
• Must be a passionate team player and a strong motivator.
• Must have strong background in driving performance excellence through strong people management.
• Five plus years in full P&L management responsibility preferably in hospitality, service and/or retail environments.
• Experience in problem-solving, exercising sound judgment, maintaining confidentiality and the ability to interact professionally and effectively with co-workers, clients, and the general public.
• Proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite and database applications.
• Ability to multi-task with strong time management skills.
• Ability to complete assignments and responsibilities accurately and in a timely manner, often with strict and/or conflicting deadlines.
• Excellent oral presentation, writing, and analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and motivational skills.
• Must have exceptional strong customer service experience and skills.
• Veterinary, boarding and/or grooming experience required.
• Must have experience in managing inventory and accounts payable.

Physical

• Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Must frequently lift 40 pounds.
• Must be able to be on feet for the duration of your shift.
• Must be able to stand, walk and climb stairs frequently.
• Must be able to work on computer system and work multi-line telephone.
• Must be able to handle dogs on leashes.
• Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation chemicals, animal dander and excretions.
