This role in summaryWhirlpool is currently looking for a qualified candidate to serve as an Manufacturing Engineering Analyst- Ottawa onsite at our Ottawa, OH site. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting various plat Analyst, Engineering forms, leading initiatives to enhance cost and quality, and acting as the primary contact for all matters related to material availability and new supplier strategies to ensure the Ottawa factory operates smoothly.Your responsibilities will includeLead MOB / Intakes from Procurement that will impact the Ottawa Plant.Review Intake and confirm the platform(s) affectedUnderstand the required changes / parts impacted by the IntakeCreate A3 to summarize Intake, including all related informationReview with V&V team the requirements to certify new supplier / material change as indicated by the IntakeCoordinate new parts / assemblies to submit partSupport factory on any Fit & Function assembly line issuesLead Cost and Quality initiativesOwn A3Develop IDP and keep it updatedTrack all activities and assure timing completionDevelop test plan along V&V teamGet PA approval for every change being implementedKeep UL File updated for all different initiativesCreate Plan of Action to resolve findings from CV, DV, PV buildsRemove barriers so the team can execute their tasks properly.Focus the team on the right priorities and facilitate trade-off discussions.Deploy WPD in the projects and guide the project team.Assist with creating the QA MatrixGather data for specified date range from GSIR, CAL, FPY, RTY, Scrap, Supplier Quality, PEX, and Holds/Warehouse auditsMap internal data to external data using GSIR code and customer complaintAdd compiled data to QA Matrix template and based on index priority, issues are prioritized into AA, A, B and C issuesMinimum requirementsBachelor’s Degree1+ years of engineering or manufacturing experience Preferred skills and experiencesBachelor’s Degree in EngineeringAbility to manage multiple tasks at the same time.Excellent communication skills (Ability to work at all levels from Plant Leadership to Machine Operator)Experience using DFMEA, A3, IDP / GanttHave a strong desire for personal and professional developmentMust be able to identify problems, analyze root cause and implement solutions that address the root cause and minimize business riskOutstanding problem-solving skills.Presentation and communication skillsA collaborative attitude and a strong desire to succeed as part of the teamSelf-motivated and a strong passion for learningWhat we offerGenerous benefits package, Whirlpool employee discount, fitness & educational reimbursement programs, kitchenettes, and more!
