Boilers in the 1,000,000 BTU range and Chillers in the 100 Ton range Knowledge of controls is beneficial The HVAC Technician is responsible for conserving and maintaining customer facilities and buildings in outstanding conditions as well as all equipment and systems to achieve excellent operations and safety performance. Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools to precision measuring instruments, electrical and electronic testing devices. Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them by reading blueprints, repair manuals and parts catalogs as necessary. Inspect, operate and test machinery and equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions. Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears and other parts of machinery. Knowledge of relevant equipment, safety policies, procedures and strategies for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions. Fulfilling work order requests and determining when subcontractors need to be called for major maintenance, repairs and upgrades.
