Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to patients in a stepdown or progressive care setting, ensuring safety and quality outcomes. Responsible for administering treatments, monitoring patient status, and collaborating with healthcare teams.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and respond to changes in clinical status.
• Administer chemotherapy, including vesicant agents, following proper procedures.
• Complete required oncology courses and unit orientation prior to patient assignment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and treatments.
• Adhere to safety protocols and certifications such as ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy courses or OCN certification.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license and active nursing credentials.
• Some oncology experience preferred; certification such as OCN is a plus.
• Successfully completed the ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy course or equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to monitor and respond to patient clinical changes.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to prioritize and perform in a fast-paced environment.
