Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse - $2,416 per week

Position Travel RN – Labor and Delivery Location New Brunswick, New Jersey Details Start Date: 07/14/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 36 per week (12‑hour shifts) Shift: Night 3x12‑hour (19:00‑07:30) Employment Type: Travel Pay: Tax‑free stipend (amount to be determined) Responsibilities Provide comprehensive labor and delivery care for obstetric patients (32 weeks and above). Assist with vaginal deliveries, C‑sections, and high‑risk deliveries. Perform sterile vaginal exams and support antepartum care. Use and monitor EPIC charting system for all patient documentation. Manage post‑partum care, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications such as oxytocin and magnesium sulfate, and providing lactation support. Assist with neonatal care and newborn assessments (APGAR, NST, IUPC placement). Float to the Operating Room (OR) and Post‑Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) as required. Respond to call – 24 hours every four weeks – and provide coverage on every third weekend. Adhere to patient‑to‑RN ratios of 1:2 during both day and night shifts. Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) with an active New Jersey or Compact license. Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery. Certification requirements: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, FHM. Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records. Ability to work night, weekend, and call shifts with rotating schedule. Competent in patient ratio management and able to float within scope of practice. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
