Skills & Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy
- Active OT license in the governing state
- Previous experience in schools or pediatrics preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to assess, plan, and implement individualized interventions within educational settings
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to K-12 students
- Conduct thorough assessments to develop and update individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student success
- Document services, progress, and recommendations in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide expertise in accommodations, assistive technology, and classroom modifications
- Support professional development of staff by sharing OT strategies and best practices
