Lead Maritime Piping Designer

Reference: PR/605361_1786461805Seeking a highly driven Lead Piping Designer to lead the design and development of complex piping systems for large industrial and transportation projects. This role is responsible for ensuring piping layouts, drawings, and production packages are accurate, buildable, and aligned with engineering and project requirements while serving as a key liaison between design and production teams. The ideal candidate combines deep piping design expertise with strong leadership skills, helping drive efficient project execution while mentoring junior designers and supporting production teams.Piping Design & EngineeringLead the design and development of piping systems and layouts for complex projects. Create, review, and validate piping arrangements, spool drawings, and production packages. Ensure designs are accurate, practical to build, and aligned with engineering intent.Production SupportCollaborate closely with engineering and production teams to support fabrication and installation activities. Review production feedback and incorporate design improvements through redline and revision processes. Resolve design and constructability issues to improve project execution.Technical LeadershipProvide guidance and mentorship to designers and drafting personnel. Support design reviews and ensure adherence to company standards and best practices. Promote continuous improvement in design quality and efficiency. Compliance & QualityEnsure designs comply with applicable industry standards, regulatory requirements, and project specifications. Maintain configuration control and documentation accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.Required10+ years of piping design experience in shipbuilding, marine, industrial, or related environments.Strong experience with AutoCAD, Navisworks, and 3D design platforms.Extensive knowledge of piping systems, layouts, spool drawings, and production documentation. Experience reviewing production packages and supporting fabrication activities. Strong communication, leadership, and mentoring skills
