Director of Operations – Senior Living

Parallel Management Group | Southeast Michigan (local travel)

Parallel Management is hiring a Regional Director of Operations to oversee our senior living communities. You’ll be the main operations partner to each community’s leadership team. That means keeping communities compliant with regulations, running audits and training, and helping solve problems on the ground. You need hands-on experience running a senior living community.

What You’ll Do

Operations & Compliance

Monitor each community’s budget, clinical services, and regulatory compliance
Run regular audits, and make sure communities follow corporate directives and put corporate programs in place
Make sure buildings are in good working order and that community needs and requests get resolved quickly
Spot risks and opportunities across the region early, then build and carry out action plans to address them

Leadership & People

Lead the regional operations team and direct the regional office support staff
Recruit, hire, develop, and keep high-performing community leaders through training, coaching, and accountability
Oversee employee relations and help resolve staff conflicts

Programs & Policy

Create new corporate and community programs, and grow the ones we have
Write and update policies and procedures for the communities
Represent Parallel at industry meetings and promote our communities through local involvement

Requirements:

What You Bring

Required: 2+ years managing licensed HFA (Home for the Aged) or AFC (Adult Foster Care) communities in Michigan
4+ years of operations experience in healthcare
A track record in sales or occupancy growth
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, and the urgency to see issues through to resolution
Strong computer skills Strong computer skills, experience with Yardi preferred
Ability to travel locally, with occasional overnights
