Qualifications:

• Valid North Carolina Special Education Certification is required
• Previous experience in teaching special education, working with K–12 students preferred
• Strong communication and collaborative skills
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet the varied needs of students in inclusion and adaptive settings
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, supportive team environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized lesson plans for students on caseload
• Create inclusive learning experiences alongside general education teachers
• Provide direct instruction and support to students within the classroom or resource environment
• Monitor, assess, and document student progress; adjust strategies as needed
• Collaborate with families, school staff, and other professionals to develop and implement IEPs
• Maintain thorough documentation consistent with school and state guidelines

This role is full-time (37.5 hours per week) with positions starting as soon as possible and continuing through late May. Flexible interviewing is conducted via Zoom, and quick hiring decisions can be made.
