Job Description: RECEPTIONIST - Campus/Director Job Title: Receptionist - Campus Duty Days: 207 Reports to: Principal/Director Pay Grade: 1 Dept/School: Assigned Campus Pay Schedule: Paraprofessional Pay Schedule Wage/Hour: Non-Exempt Date Revised: 2025 Primary Purpose Under direct supervision provide reception and clerical assistance for the efficient operation of the campus office. Qualifications Education/Certification High School diploma or GED Special Knowledge/Skills Demonstrate proficiency in handling matters of highly confidential nature Proficient keyboarding skills Effective organization, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to follow written instructions Ability to operate multi-line phone system Demonstrate proficiency in handling matters of highly confidential nature Must possess personal qualities related to respect for the rights and confidentiality of others Experience One year clerical experience in office setting Major Responsibilities and Duties Reception and Phones Receive and direct incoming calls, take reliable messages, and route to appropriate staff Greet and direct campus visitors Assist parents in checking students in and out of school Receive, sort, and distribute mail, messages, documents, and other deliveries Assist with the receipt and distribution of student materials, including homework requests Maintain visitor log and issue visitor passes Professional Conduct Demonstrates ability to remain calm and withstand pressures Flexible to changes in routine and adapts quickly to changing situations Reliable and responsible attendance and punctuality Demonstrates respect, courteous to peers and visitors and assist fellow workers willingly Avoid speaking ill of the district and district personnel Other Assist with preparation of materials for mailing, including preparing labels, stuffing envelopes, etc. Maintain computerized files using personal computer, including reports, employee roster, and mailing lists Assist with the scheduling of teacher conferences Provide clerical assistance as needed Maintain confidentiality Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or other administrator that are consistent with the general requirements and qualifications for the position Participate in staff development training programs to improve job performance Participate in faculty meeting and special events as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities None WORKING CONDITIONS: Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors The working conditions described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
