EHS Specialist

The EHS Specialist is responsible for providing safe work environments, work practices and EHS training for all on‑site personnel. You must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, be detail oriented and organized. Location Cincinnati, OH Short List of Your Tasks and Responsibilities Develop, recommend and implement enhancements to existing EHS plans and procedures. Guide, support, coordinate and lead activities for several EHS focus teams. Assist in the development and maintenance of Formica behavioral based safety programs in support of a safe work culture. Conduct job tasks analysis. Maintain environmental compliance and reports such as Title V Air Permitting, NPDES/Waste Water Permitting, SARA reporting and SPCC. Complete risk analysis and hazard identification and provide recommendations. Assist in the development, planning, coordination and conducting of EHS training, including orientation, monthly safety training topics, etc. Conduct incident investigations. Develop and maintain EHS statistical databases and the preparation of monthly reports. Provide EHS support to management team. Develop and distribute EHS internal communications. Performs other duties as assigned. We’re Looking for a Self‑Starter Who Meets the Following Requirements 3+ years’ experience with Environmental Health & Safety in a manufacturing environment is required. Bachelor’s degree in safety management or a related field preferred. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.
