Field Service Technician II

About the Role Diagnose, service, and repair Canon equipment, maintain technical records, and provide field support for customers. Responsibilities Diagnose basic mechanical, software, network, and system failures using established procedures. Service and repair designated equipment to Canon standards and specifications. Maintain working knowledge and aptitude of multiple product groups, including basic troubleshooting and diagnostics. Meet and exceed customer demands by providing efficient, responsive, and accurate Field/Shop/on‑site maintenance. Appropriately maintain all technical information, Field Service Reports, Expense Reports, and assigned Canon property, and provide direction to less experienced technicians. Provide solutions for escalated technical and/or customer service–related problem areas for any territory requested. Qualifications HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience, plus 1–2 years of related experience. Basic understanding of internet environments and ability to complete the 120‑day introductory period and the PDIF (Printing and Digital Imaging Foundations) new‑hire class. Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; ability to travel. Capability to work in a 24/7 environment, performing shift work and on‑call rotations. Willing and able to obtain necessary security and/or other clearances required by customers. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and be active more than 50% of the time (walking, standing, stooping/kneeling). Workstyle Full‑time on‑site. This position requires full‑time presence at assigned office(s)/worksite(s)/territory on scheduled workdays. Compensation Hourly rate: $21.50 – $30.75. Eligible for transportation allowance.
