Job Title: Clinical Chart Reviewer

Job Description

This role involves reviewing clinical charts for medical necessity in inpatient admissions, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards, and making appropriate referrals based on clinical presentations.

Responsibilities

• Review clinical charts for medical necessity for inpatient admissions.
• Conduct concurrent reviews as long as patients remain in-house until discharged.
• Utilize InterQual to assess medical necessities.
• Make appropriate referrals for members based on their clinical presentations.
• Maintain professional boundaries by not engaging in direct communication with members.

Essential Skills

• Proficient in clinical review processes.
• At least two years of experience in ICU or ER/ED care in a hospital environment
• Ability to utilize InterQual for medical necessity reviews.

Work Environment

The role operates in a standard office setting, Monday through Friday, from 8am to 5pm CST. Overtime and holiday work require prior approval and are not typically mandated.

This is a Contract position based out of St. Louis, MO.

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
