Project Manager II – CDx Pharma Services

Location: Oro Valley, AZ
Schedule: Mon- Fri
Pay Rate: $40/hr (Depending on experience)

Are you an experienced project manager ready to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives in the diagnostic, pharmaceutical, medical device, or biotech industry ?

We are seeking a highly motivated and autonomous Project Manager II – CDx Pharma Services to play a key role in optimizing product delivery and driving projects from concept through completion.

In this role, you will take ownership of project management activities across projects ranging from simple improvements to complex, high-impact initiatives. You will develop and direct detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports while serving as a trusted advisor to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Execution & Improvement: Manage multiple small and large improvement projects, process improvement initiatives, and business-related projects from initiation through completion.
• Operations & Compliance: Coordinate cross-functional activities to ensure projects meet deadlines and service-plan requirements. Oversee day-to-day sample process flow and accurate reporting of results.
• Resource & Data Management: Maintain accurate resource trackers and capacity charts, manage CAPEX budgets, maintain dashboards, and communicate project reports to stakeholders.
• Strategic Best Practices: Implement best practices within the clinical sciences team and foster continuous improvement through knowledge and experience sharing.
• Risk & Requirement Management: Proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and potential delays. Challenge assumptions, conduct critical-path analysis, maintain project requirements documentation, and facilitate lessons-learned sessions.
• Stakeholder Management: Engage, influence, and manage diverse cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, and deliverables.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree required; Life Sciences preferred
• Master’s degree preferred

Experience

• 2–5 years of project management experience within the diagnostic, medical device, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology industry
• Experience leading product development, process improvement, or business initiatives

Technical Proficiency

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office , including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project
• Proficiency with Google Workspace/Suite

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP certification
• Experience with Scrum/Agile project management methodologies
• Master’s degree
