The primary focus points of this position are to provide purchasing support for the assembly and test of defense products and to develop and manage supplier relationships.This is an on-site, collaborative working environment that offers a 9/80 schedule to include every other Friday off! (Formal schedule is Mon – Thurs, 7:00am – 4:00pm, every other Fri 7:00am – 3:00pm)As our Senior Buyer, you will make a critical impact in this role by holding responsibility for:Identification of sources for supply that meet Moog’s requirements for best value, on-time delivery, and high quality.Execute the procurement process, which include sourcing, supplier selection, technical evaluation, cost/price analysis, and purchase order generation, documentation and supplier communication and oversight. Developing/maintaining deep knowledge of the supply base, current pricing, and market conditions. Develop and negotiate long-term purchasing agreements/purchase orders dealing with moderately complex commodities.Develop strong working relationships and consistent communication channels with suppliers.Lead regular procurement status meetings with suppliers in support of two-way accountability.Monitor supplier performance and work with Quality and Supplier Development Engineering on issues.Resolve issues to ensure on time deliveries.
