Assistant General Manager

Compensation: $80,000 - $95,000 plus benefits and bonus incentives

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Assistant General Manager to help lead a high-volume, energetic full-service restaurant. The Assistant General Manager will play a key role in overseeing daily restaurant operations, developing and motivating the management and service teams, and maintaining exceptional standards for hospitality, food quality, cleanliness, and operational execution. Success requires a visible, engaged leader who can drive results while creating a positive and high-performing restaurant culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the General Manager in overseeing daily operations of a high-volume, full-service restaurant.
• Lead restaurant shifts, including staffing, scheduling, planning, and real-time operational decision-making.
• Deliver memorable dining experiences through exceptional hospitality, strong floor presence, and proactive guest engagement.
• Coach, develop, and motivate restaurant managers and team members while fostering a positive, accountable, and high-performing culture.
• Monitor restaurant financial performance, including sales, labor, food costs, inventory, and controllable expenses.
• Maintain exceptional standards for food quality, beverage service, restaurant cleanliness, and overall guest experience.
• Partner with culinary leadership to ensure seamless communication and execution between front- and back-of-house teams.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, training, performance management, and ongoing leadership development.
• Resolve guest concerns and unexpected operational challenges with professionalism, urgency, and composure.
• Utilize POS, scheduling, and digital reservation systems to effectively manage restaurant operations.
• Identify opportunities to continuously improve service, operational efficiency, team performance, and profitability.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of restaurant management experience in a high-volume, full-service environment.
• Proven success leading restaurant shifts, managing competing priorities, and delivering strong operational results.
• Strong understanding of restaurant financials, including sales, labor, food costs, inventory, and expense management.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, motivate, develop, and retain high-performing restaurant teams.
• Passion for hospitality with a strong commitment to creating memorable guest experiences.
• Working knowledge of food and beverage, including ingredients, flavor profiles, and elevated service standards.
• Confident, hands-on leadership style with the ability to remain calm and decisive in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Experience with POS systems and digital reservation platforms such as OpenTable.
• Strong commitment to operational consistency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
